Providence Infrastructure Consulting is seeking students pursuing degrees in civil, environmental, chemical, or mechanical engineering to join our team for a 6 to 9 month paid Co-op/Internship opportunity.

Position Function

As a successful intern, you will become a short-term, but integral, part of the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater treatment projects, including pipelines, pump stations, treatment facilities, and planning projects.

Responsibilities
  • Gain exposure to design and construction projects.
  • Assist with collecting planning and design data.
  • Perform project design calculations.
  • Support the development of drawings and technical specifications.
  • Assist in the writing of memorandums and reports.
  • Attend design and construction meetings.
  • Perform construction field observations.
  • Tour several completed water and wastewater projects.
Qualifications
  • Be a Junior or Senior level student enrolled in a Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering program at an accredited 4-year Bachelors degree program.
  • Ability to work on a full-time/part-time basis for 3 to 6 months.
  • Ability to work in person.
  • Have developing writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to clearly communicate and collaborate with others.
