Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning equipment, performing basic repairs, and inspecting vehicles and equipment.
  • Operate a variety of equipment, including pavement breakers, jackhammers, and drills.
  • Assist with projects that require semi-skilled labor, including excavation work, backfilling, and compacting earth.
  • Provide customer service and respond to customer inquiries.
  • Keep accurate records and reports of maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of related experience operating tools and equipment used in maintenance.
  • Valid North Carolina driver's license.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction or repair of roadways.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CDL license.
  • Experience working with asphalt, concrete, and stormwater operations.
  • Ability to operate a dump truck with a snow plow and spreader.
