Job Title: Post Anesthesia Care Registered Nurse

Bluebird Staffing is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Post Anesthesia Care (PACU) nurse in Danbury, Connecticut.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate RN to provide high-quality patient care in the PACU setting. As a PACU nurse, you will be responsible for assessing and managing patients who have undergone surgical procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the recovery process.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and manage patients in the PACU setting, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications as needed.
  • Provide individualized patient care, taking into account their unique needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest PACU best practices and technologies.
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Connecticut.
  • Experience in the PACU setting, preferably with a focus on post-anesthesia care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, with flexibility to work varying schedules as needed.

Surgical Center of Ridgefield is a multi-specialty outpatient surgery center with 5 ORs and 4 PRs. We are open Monday through Friday, with no evenings, weekends, or holidays. We are seeking an experienced RN with a focus on pre-op and PACU care. We perform procedures in various specialties, including ophthalmology, orthopedics, plastics, ENT, spine, podiatry, and GI endoscopy.
