Position Title: Program Eligibility Coordinator II

Overview: The Program Eligibility Coordinator II plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the operations of eligibility programs within a designated area. This position is essential for ensuring compliance with both state and federal regulations while facilitating effective service delivery to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and mentor a team of eligibility program staff, including conducting interviews, approving promotions, and managing performance evaluations.
  • Provide administrative guidance by establishing program goals and objectives, and ensuring that project assignments align with these targets.
  • Monitor program operations to guarantee adherence to compliance standards and timely service provision.
  • Address and resolve procedural challenges faced by team members to uphold service quality.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate policy updates and address any operational issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and compile necessary reports to support program functions.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support departmental objectives.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as psychology, sociology, social work, or public administration, along with substantial experience in human services, including supervisory experience.

Skills and Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of supervisory practices and relevant laws governing client eligibility.
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities to effectively manage team operations.
  • Proficient in utilizing computer systems and software for data management and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey information clearly and effectively.

Work Environment: This position requires some travel and may involve physical activities such as lifting and extended periods of sitting. The role demands a commitment to maintaining high standards of service and supporting the mission of the Arkansas Department of Human Services.
