Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Coordinator to join our team at voestalpine Roll Forming Corporation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying, recording, and preparing items for incoming and outgoing shipments in our manufacturing warehouse setting. This includes operating forklifts to move materials, equipment, and product safely and efficiently.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Determine the most effective method of shipment based on knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
  • Verify against bill of lading, invoice, order, or other records by comparing identifying information and counting, weighing, or measuring items of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Assemble and/or repair wooden or cardboard containers or select reassembled containers.
  • Insert items into containers using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.
  • Fasten covers on wooden crates and bind containers with metal strapping.
  • Stamp, stencil, or glue identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
  • Unpack and examine incoming shipments.
  • Record appropriate information relating to damage and part count discrepancies.
  • Route items to departments.
  • Operate forklift truck or hand truck to load/unload, move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
  • Instruct and give directions to others in preparing outgoing and receiving incoming shipments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.

The estimated salary for this role is $22-$23 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Experience and training in using computers, forklift/material handling, warehouse/inventory, and shipping/receiving is essential.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis is necessary.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license is required.
