About the Role

As a Biomechanical Engineer Expert, you will be responsible for investigating incidents involving claimed injuries or fatalities due to an event. You will apply scientific and engineering principles of bioengineering and biomechanics to analyze the causes of these incidents and provide expert testimony in civil and criminal litigation and insurance claims.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate incidents involving claimed injuries or fatalities due to an event
  • Apply scientific and engineering principles of bioengineering and biomechanics to analyze the causes of these incidents
  • Provide expert testimony in civil and criminal litigation and insurance claims
  • Evaluate medical device failures and apply knowledge of traumatic brain injury (TBI) experience
Requirements
  • PhD degree in an engineering discipline required
  • B.S. in Engineering from an ABET accredited University
  • 5+ years of bioengineering/biomechanics experience post-doctoral work
  • Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) experience a plus
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a comprehensive team
  • Excellent technical, analytical, writing, and communication skills
