Job Summary

The Army National Guard is seeking highly skilled individuals to operate and maintain the AVENGER surface-to-air missile system. As an AVENGER Crewmember, you will be responsible for identifying, tracking, and engaging enemy targets using advanced electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain the AVENGER system, including electronic, hydraulic, radar, and mechanical components
  • Perform target engagement evaluations and operate "friend-or-foe" identification equipment
  • Transport, prepare, reload, and resupply missiles and ammunition
  • Navigate terrain using maps, compass, and GPS devices
  • Utilize digital communications equipment to identify and receive target information and engagement orders

Requirements

  • Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
  • Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate
  • Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
  • Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
  • Must meet citizenship requirements
