Job Description

This position is located within the Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service (NWS), Southern Region (SR), Stennis Space Center. This position requires strong administrative support skills, including budgeting, purchasing, supply management, personnel administration, data processing, and records management.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as Cross-Functional Procurement Support liaison between requestors, requisitioners, and approvers in the preparation, submission and processing of requisition transactions.
  • Provide cross-functional administrative and procurement support to program and project managers within the assigned branch, and other branches as required.
  • Provide administrative support to the Director's office and Technical Staff in the absence of the primary executive support provider.
Requirements
  • Ability to complete NWS Funds Certifying Officer (FCO) training requirements within two years.
  • Ability to attain and maintain minimum Federal Acquisition Certification for Contracting Officers' Representative Level One (FAC-COR Level I).
  • Ability to qualify as a Government Purchase Card (GPC) Holder.
  • This position requires the submission of a Financial Disclosure Form, OGE Form 450.
