Position Overview:
- Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit

- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
Job Details:
The selected candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced environment. The PCU is a 48-bed cardiac telemetry unit that primarily receives patients from various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1, which may increase to 5:1 based on unit requirements.
- Administer care to patients on various drips, including amiodarone, cardizem, dopamine, dobutamine, nitro, lasix, and insulin.
- Participate in timely patient discharges, hourly rounding, and bedside shift reports.
- Floating to other units may be required based on operational needs.
Qualifications:
- Active MD License
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in PCU/Telemetry
- Experience with post-cardiac catheterization procedures is essential.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIH are required.
- Experience in Trauma Level I or II facilities is preferred.
