Position Overview

This role is crucial for providing mental health support and crisis intervention services. The position involves afternoon and weekend shifts, with on-call responsibilities, totaling up to 28 hours per week.

Compensation: Includes a $6500 hiring bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Deliver treatment services as outlined in the Individual Plan of Service.
  • Engage in the Person-Centered Planning process and ensure follow-through.
  • Provide individual and group therapy, as well as crisis intervention when necessary.
  • Educate clients, families, and support systems on mental health issues.
  • Coordinate case management services, linking clients to necessary resources.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all relevant policies.
  • Uphold confidentiality and privacy standards.

Work Environment: St. Clair County Community Mental Health fosters a supportive and recovery-oriented atmosphere, emphasizing a trauma-informed and culturally competent approach to treatment.

Supervision: This position does not involve supervisory duties and will receive guidance from the program supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work.
  • Licensure: Must be a Licensed or Limited Licensed Master's Social Worker, or eligible for licensure within 30 days of hire.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years working with behavioral health recipients.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft XP and Word.
  • Transportation: Must have access to reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Record Systems.
  • Lived experience with behavioral health challenges.

Physical and Mental Demands: The role requires light physical activity, including occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds, and the ability to maintain focus and attention in a dynamic environment.
