We are seeking a skilled and compassionate School Nurse Substitute to join our team at Friendship Central School District. As a Substitute Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our students and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the School Physician in conducting physical, visual, and auditory screenings of students and employees.
- Administer first aid and emergency treatment to students and employees as needed.
- Prepare and maintain accurate health records for school authorities.
- Participate in school immunization clinics and arrange for transportation of students or employees to medical facilities in emergency situations.
- Conduct regular inspections of the school building, playground, and cafeteria to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
- Order, inventory, and oversee the storage of first aid and related health supplies and equipment.
- Collaborate with attendance teachers, staff members, and others to address health-related issues and prevent the spread of communicable diseases.
- Must possess either an RN License or be an LPN.
- Good knowledge of nursing principles and techniques, as well as the ability to apply them effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders.
