We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Alternate Solutions Health Network LLC. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our home-based therapy services.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan of Care: Develop and implement individualized plans of care for patients, working closely with Physical Therapists to ensure comprehensive and effective treatment.
- Patient Outcomes: Treat patients to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance using physical means, such as exercise, massage, heat, water, etc.
- Minimize Patient Risk: Assess functional problems and provide intervention to improve patient functional status, working towards goals set by the Physical Therapist.
- Family Educator/Advocate: Counsel patients and families on disease/injury management and instruct on proper use of equipment, such as wheelchairs, braces, walkers, crutches, canes, and other prosthetic/orthotic devices.
- Policies and Procedures: Complete all clinical documentation following agency protocol and Medicare/Federal guidelines.
- Rules and Regulations: Understand and follow agency policies, procedures, rules, and regulations, communicating changes in schedule/availability to schedulers or supervisors.
- Operations: Attend in-service training and mandatory agency meetings.
- Education and Licensure: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with current license in the state of employment.
- Experience: Minimum one-year experience as a PTA in an acute care setting, with home care experience preferred.
- Skills and Abilities: Compassionate communicator with a positive attitude, patience, attention to detail, and ability to follow directions.
