Financial Assistance Advisor

ECPI University is committed to providing students with the support they need to succeed. As a Financial Assistance Advisor, you will play a critical role in helping students navigate the financial aid process and achieve their educational goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide financial aid support and advising services to students, including information on financial aid eligibility, application procedures, and financial assistance programs.
  • Collect and analyze financial data on students to determine financial aid eligibility and make awards within federal, donor, and institutional guidelines.
  • Evaluate unusual or mitigating circumstance documentation and exercise judgment to make adjustments or revisions to costs, contribution, need, or dependency status as exceptions to the prescribed process.
  • Answer questions and inquiries from students, parents, or guardians regarding financial aid programs and eligibility.
  • Analyze system-generated reports to verify continued compliance and eligibility of students receiving aid under federal and institutional guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CampusVue Student database, preferred.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills, excellent organizational and analytical skills, and ability to quickly master new methodologies, technologies, and systems.
