Job Summary

As a key member of the Samaritan Health Services team, the House Supervisor-RN will provide collaborative leadership for the planning, directing, integrating, and coordinating of healthcare services to achieve and maintain high quality standards. This role requires a strong ability to respond to the community and patient needs on a shift-by-shift basis, serving as an administrative representative on evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and operational support for hospital operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and multi-disciplinary projects
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve high quality standards
  • Respond to community and patient needs on a shift-by-shift basis
  • Serve as an administrative representative on evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Requirements
  • Current unencumbered Oregon RN license
  • BSN preferred
  • Healthcare Provider BLS required
  • Two (2) years experience in a hospital required
  • Experience in Critical Care/Trauma preferred
  • ACLS required
  • TNCC, NRP, and PALS required within six (6) months of hire
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Social Perceptiveness: Ability to work with a diverse population from pediatrics to geriatrics
  • Basic understanding of age-related differences in caring for and/or communicating with patients and caregivers
  • Personal sensitivity to the needs and experiences of others and a non-judgmental attitude towards persons of differing standards, values, lifestyles, and ages
  • Adaptability/Flexibility: Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to situations that may arise with high risk or diverse patient populations
  • Ability to adjust actions in relation to others and adapt to offer best possible care to patients
  • Communication and team building: Leads effectively with excellent verbal and written communication
