Pride Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Professional to support our client's medical facility in Chicago, IL. This is a 3-month assignment opportunity with a competitive salary of $22,500 - $26,250 per month (approximately $23-$25 per hour).

Job Overview

This role involves collecting blood samples from patients and preparing them for lab testing. As a Medical Laboratory Professional, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and safety of the blood collection process.

  • You will work directly with patients, creating a positive and trusting relationship to explain procedures and draw blood specimens.
  • Collect blood samples through venipuncture and capillary techniques from patients of all ages.
  • Process specimens safely, accurately, and professionally.
  • Verify patient information and special notations using relevant sources.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Direct patient contact and communication.
  • Blood collection and processing.
  • Verification of patient information.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of phlebotomy experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Spanish language proficiency is required.
