Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Traveling Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Hilo Medical Center. As a key member of our outpatient speech therapy clinic, you will be responsible for evaluating, developing care plans, and treating patients with a range of speech and language disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients' speech and language skills to identify areas of need and develop personalized care plans.
  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to help patients improve their communication skills.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordinate with other departments as needed.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and industry developments.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
  • Current licensure in Hawaii as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in outpatient speech therapy, preferably in a rehabilitation setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other relevant software.
