Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Housing Navigator to join our team at Endeavors. As a Housing Navigator, you will play a critical role in providing a variety of office and field activities to manage and monitor a domestic violence rapid rehousing/transition-in-place program for families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with landlords to identify unit's availability for high-risk participants and provide mediation and advocacy to develop a workable plan to obtain and maintain housing.
  • Assist participants in locating and securing housing of their choice, creating and maintaining consistent communication channels between several parties.
  • Apply knowledge of residential lease agreements to educate clients of their tenant rights and responsibilities.
  • Assess housing barriers of individuals and families experiencing homelessness to determine housing and service needs.
  • Develop a housing procurement, financial, and self-sufficiency case management plan with clients, including intake interviews and goal setting.
  • Provide proactive follow-up home visits to ensure stability and further progress towards self-sufficiency.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs records, monthly outcome reports, and files for each client.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or a minimum of two-year degree in Human Services related field or an equivalent amount of experience in the Human Services or Business field.
  • 2 years' experience in Human Services or Business field, with experience in supporting survivors of domestic violence and navigating housing resources.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed practices and the complexities surrounding domestic violence.
  • Skilled in building relationships with community organizations, landlords, and service providers to facilitate housing placement and support.
