Position Overview
The Housekeeping Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of guest accommodations and public areas. This position is responsible for upholding the standards of our brand and ensuring guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Housekeeping Attendant include, but are not limited to:
- Receive a list of assigned rooms from the supervisor and prioritize tasks accordingly.
- Follow proper procedures for accessing rooms.
- Check and restock cleaning supplies as needed.
- Announce presence before entering guest rooms and return later if occupied.
- Report any damages or unusual odors immediately upon entry.
- Notify supervisors of any suspicious activities.
- Remove used linens and replace them with fresh items, adhering to protocols for checkouts and stayovers.
- Make beds neatly and stock towels and toiletries as per hotel standards.
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize bathrooms and kitchenette areas.
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces, including switches, handles, and remotes.
- Dust and clean mirrors and other surfaces in the room.
- Vacuum floors and dispose of trash appropriately.
- Check and replenish complimentary items in the room.
- Conduct a final inspection to ensure compliance with hotel standards.
- Report found items to supervisors and handle them according to lost and found procedures.
- Notify maintenance of any required repairs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A keen attention to detail and thoroughness.
- The ability to maintain guest privacy and discretion.
- A commitment to high-quality work standards.
- Strong interpersonal skills for positive guest interactions.
- Basic proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
- Education sufficient to understand product labels and communicate effectively.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
