Surgical Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technician to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, providing exceptional patient care, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

• Prepare and sterilize operating rooms, equipment, and instruments for surgical procedures.
• Stock and maintain adequate supplies for surgery, ensuring that all necessary materials are readily available.
• Prepare patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites, and provide support during surgery by passing instruments and supplies.
• Track and manage surgical supplies, ensuring that all necessary materials are available and accounted for.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest surgical technology, medical terminology, and procedures, and maintain a high level of knowledge and expertise in these areas.
• Work collaboratively with surgeons, surgical assistants, nurses, and other members of the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
• Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring that all patients receive the highest level of care and attention.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technician or in a related field.
• Active unencumbered Surgical Tech license in Texas.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and maintain a high level of physical stamina.
• Strong technical skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals.

• BLS and ACLS certification.
• National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification.
• Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) certification.
• One year of Epic experience.
