Job Summary

Florida Bone and Joint Specialists is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist PRN to join our team. As a Radiology Technologist PRN, you will be responsible for performing x-rays, CT scans, and/or MRI's within our practice. This is a PRN position, requiring flexibility and adaptability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inputs patient information accurately and efficiently.
  • Adjusts and maintains imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Precisely follows orders from physicians on what areas of the body to image.
  • Prepares patients for procedures, including taking a medical history and answering questions about the procedure.
  • Protects the patient by shielding exposed areas that do not need to be imaged.
  • Positions the patient and the equipment to get the correct image.
  • Operates the computerized equipment to take the images.
  • Works with physicians to evaluate the images and to determine whether additional images need to be taken.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality; complies with HIPAA and compliance guidelines established by the practice.
  • Attends CPR and completes OSHA training programs as required.
Requirements
  • General knowledge and experience of X-ray orthopedic positioning.
  • Associates degree.
  • ARRT License – Certified X-ray technician.
  • Minimum one year of experience.
  • HIPAA Certification.
Work Environment

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Position requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing or sitting for extensive periods of time. Employee will occasionally be asked to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds. Normal visual acuity and hearing are required.

Employee will have some exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances (ie: cleaning products), medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
