Senior Chemist

Constellation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Chemist to join our team. As a key member of our chemistry program, you will be responsible for managing and directing chemistry programs, reviewing data, and monitoring performance. This role requires strong leadership and mentoring skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with other departments and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and manage chemistry programs, including review and analysis of chemistry data
• Provide leadership and mentoring to support chemistry programs and communication with the site
• Develop and deliver training programs for chemistry personnel
• Participate in Emergency Response Organization (ERO) and on-call duty rotation
• Participate on Station Oversight Committee (SOC)

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in chemistry, environmental, or similar field
• Minimum of 5 years of chemistry experience, including 2 years as a Chemist 1 or directly related experience
• Knowledgeable in analytical or radiological testing
• Ability to gain unescorted access to nuclear facilities/plants
• Working knowledge of computer applications such as MS Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or related science
• Technical experience related to specific chemistry program assignments, such as radiochemistry, primary chemistry, raw water experience
• Three years of professional level experience in Chemistry at a commercial nuclear power plant
