Job Summary:

The Primary Therapist provides quality and organized psychotherapy and basic case management for senior clients and families at WASHOE BARTON MEDICAL CLINIC. This role requires a Master's degree in a Mental Health field and a license to provide masters-level behavioral health services. The ideal candidate will have two to three years of clinical experience with older persons and hospital or nursing home experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interprets variables of social situations as they relate to client's condition, admission, and post-discharge needs.
  • Manages time effectively with client load.
  • Conducts support groups as requested.
  • Maintains appropriate client confidentiality.

Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a Mental Health field from an accredited Graduate School.
  • LCSW preferred - LMFT and LPC also acceptable.
  • BLS Certification (may be completed within 90 days of hire).

Per Diem Position:
This position has no guaranteed hours or set schedule. The position will fill in for individuals who call in sick, take vacation, or take a leave of absence. The ideal candidate will be flexible and able to work on an as-needed basis.
