About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Performance Foodservice. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for safely transporting food products to our customers across intrastate and interstate routes.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a valid Class A CDL license, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. You will be expected to maintain a clean driving record, adhere to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and ensure timely delivery of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on designated routes to deliver food products to customers
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and co-workers to resolve any issues that may arise during delivery
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, adhering to company safety standards and DOT regulations
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle is in good working condition
  • Unload products from the trailer, transport items into designated customer storage areas, and verify delivery of items with customers
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • 12+ months commercial driving experience
  • A valid Class A CDL license
  • A clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years
  • A valid current DOT Health Card
  • Ability to lift and move product cases/freight of varying size and weight

Estimated Salary
