Audiologist Job Summary

As an Audiologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a crucial role in administering diagnostic audiological tests to differentiate between types of hearing disorders. You will coordinate and interpret test results, consult with physicians, and make recommendations on hearing disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide diagnostic evaluation of hearing, prevention, habilitation, and rehabilitation services for auditory problems.
  • Physically and otoscopically examine the outer structures of the ear.
  • Conduct procedures such as ear cleaning evaluation, fitting and dispensing of hearing aids, cochlear implant assessment, programming, and rehabilitation, as well as electrophysiologic evaluation of the vestibular and auditory mechanisms.
  • Counsel individuals with auditory disorders, their families, and other service providers regarding the etiology of the disorder and its management.
  • Provide reports and coordinate audiological results with other diagnostic data such as educational, medical, social, and behavioral information.
Requirements:
  • One year of experience in diagnostic evaluation of hearing, prevention, habilitation, and rehabilitation services for auditory problems.
  • Masters degree or Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (AuD) prior to employment start date.
  • Audiologist License (California) required at hire OR Temporary Audiologist License (California) required at hire.
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire.
  • Basic Life Support required at hire from American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year of post-licensure experience in the field of audiology.
