Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Digging & Rigging, Inc. in the Shipping and Receiving department. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth flow of incoming and outgoing merchandise and materials.

About the Role:

• The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating, verifying, and recording incoming merchandise and/or materials that come to the yard, ensuring compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines and regulations.
• This role will involve operating forklifts and pallet jacks, as well as passenger vehicles, to load and unload products/materials safely and efficiently.
• The successful candidate will also provide support to customers with shipping and storage inquiries, demonstrating strong customer focus skills, teamwork, and communication skills.
• In addition, this role requires physical activities such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials, as well as wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
• The Logistics Coordinator must be able to work under pressure effectively, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining a clean and well-organized work area.

Requirements:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a valid Maryland Class C driver's license or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in shipping, logistics, or manufacturing, including operation of a forklift, is essential.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat, are necessary for this role.
• Excellent oral and written communications, human relations skills, and ability to read blueprints are desirable.

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, and an employer contribution to 401(k). The estimated salary range may vary based on location and other factors.

Working Conditions:

Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures, fumes, and airborne particles with a moderate noise level is possible. Extended workdays and long hours may be required, and the successful candidate must be reliable, punctual, and able to function at a high level as part of a team.
