Job DescriptionWe are seeking a full-time Emergency Services Mental Health Professional to join our team. As a Crisis Intervention Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing and providing crisis stabilization services to adults, children, and adolescents experiencing a psychiatric or behavioral crisis.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in crisis intervention, counseling, and social work. You will conduct triage and intake interviews, provide education and counseling, refer clients to community-based services, and facilitate group therapy modules.
Essential Duties- Conduct triage and intake interviews with clients and referral sources.
- Provide crisis stabilization services, education, counseling, and community resource referrals.
- Complete counseling/social work assessments, mental status exams, and social histories.
- Coordinate and monitor services in the community, including mental health, medical, educational, psychological, vocational, and social services.
- Facilitate group therapy modules related to different topics based on milieu and patient care needs.
- Assist with scheduling group therapies and modalities with other team members.
- Assess, determine the most appropriate treatment, and develop a treatment plan.
- Provide linkage to case management and services.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and appropriate clinical records.
- Work cooperatively with hospital staff to assist in step-down patients from hospital-level care to our center.
- Initiate and develop prevention strategies.
- Perform crisis follow-up as indicated around specific issues that can be dealt with in a specified time frame.
- Maintain timely and complete documentation of services and activities, meeting standards of CMS and other relevant authorities.
- Bachelor's degree (required); master's degree preferred.
- Licensure: LSW/LPC; LISW/LPCC.
- Two years of crisis intervention experience.
- Valid Ohio driver's license; eligible to drive company vehicles and participate in commercial insurance coverage.
- Ability to furnish proof of active auto insurance if driving personal vehicles for business purposes.
