Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Inpatient General, Plastics and Ortho Surgery Unit at 3West. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated annual salary for this role is approximately $73,000. As an LPN with Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health, you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a generous retirement plan.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a member of our interdisciplinary team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing safe, high-quality care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Assessing patients' physical and emotional needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing interventions to achieve optimal outcomes
- Administering medications, including intravenous medications upon successful completion of NH Board of Nursing approved training and specific delegation by a Registered Nurse
- Monitoring patients' vital signs, assessing pain levels, and managing skin and wound care
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement effective care plans, including communication with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A graduate degree from an accredited school of practical nursing
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of New Hampshire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers
This role is based at 3West, a 36-bed post-surgical unit specializing in orthopedics, general surgery, and plastic surgery. Our unit also accommodates medicine overflow for patients with Cystic Fibrosis.
