Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Inpatient General, Plastics and Ortho Surgery Unit at 3West. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately $73,000. As an LPN with Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health, you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a generous retirement plan.

Key Responsibilities

As a member of our interdisciplinary team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing safe, high-quality care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
  • Assessing patients' physical and emotional needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing interventions to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Administering medications, including intravenous medications upon successful completion of NH Board of Nursing approved training and specific delegation by a Registered Nurse
  • Monitoring patients' vital signs, assessing pain levels, and managing skin and wound care
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement effective care plans, including communication with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited school of practical nursing
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of New Hampshire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers
About the Location

This role is based at 3West, a 36-bed post-surgical unit specializing in orthopedics, general surgery, and plastic surgery. Our unit also accommodates medicine overflow for patients with Cystic Fibrosis.
