Position Summary:

The Automotive Service Technician plays a crucial role in executing vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks as directed, adhering to both dealership and manufacturer standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Employ diagnostic tools to pinpoint mechanical, electrical, and other vehicle concerns.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and various automotive systems as specified in repair orders.
  • Work efficiently to identify issues and complete repairs within set timeframes.
  • Collaborate with service advisors and the parts department to prioritize and schedule repair tasks.
  • Conduct comprehensive quality inspections to ensure all repairs meet or exceed industry standards, and assess if additional safety service work is necessary.
  • Address any discrepancies promptly with the Service Advisor regarding parts, promised timeframes, etc.
  • Engage with customers to comprehend vehicle problems and clarify recommended repairs.
  • Provide precise cost estimates and timelines for repair services.
  • Accurately document all diagnostic and repair activities.
  • Complete repair orders and maintain thorough records of services performed.
  • Participate in factory-sponsored training sessions to stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and industry advancements.
  • Attend training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a mechanic or automotive service technician in a dealership or similar automotive repair environment.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with automotive systems, components, and repair methodologies.
  • Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • All candidates must be authorized to work in the USA.
  • All candidates must demonstrate the ability to pass pre-employment screenings, including background checks, MVR, drug tests, and valid driver license verification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ford Certification
  • ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications
Compensation:
  • Hourly Rate: $50.00/hour, based on experience, certifications, and qualifications.
  • Tenure Bonus: Program starting at 6 months from hire date, with bonus pay up to $3.50 per flat rate hour.
Work Schedule:
  • FULL TIME
  • 5 days with 2 days off
  • Sunday off
