Job Overview
This role involves the preparation and serving of drinks to patrons in a professional and efficient manner. The Beverage Service Specialist is responsible for promoting the Bistro, taking drink orders, and ensuring compliance with health regulations and local alcohol laws. Additionally, this position assists with food orders and preparation as needed, upholding CSM Corporation's high standards of service quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome all guests warmly and courteously.
- Efficiently take, enter, prepare, and deliver drink orders according to established standards.
- Respond to guest inquiries and provide top-tier service.
- Collaborate with team members to meet guest needs.
- Utilize the micros operating system and cash register effectively.
- Adhere to cash handling and POS procedures to ensure accurate transaction closing.
- Prepare beverages according to recipes and company standards, ensuring appropriate alcohol levels.
- Maintain proper equipment usage and implement cost control measures to minimize waste.
- Verify guest identification and monitor alcohol consumption to comply with legal regulations.
- Manage cleanliness by disposing of waste, restocking barware, and maintaining a tidy workspace.
- Complete necessary paperwork accurately and promptly.
- Assist with inventory management and related tasks as required.
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all relevant regulations.
- Participate in all required side work and proactively assist where needed.
Qualifications
Skills: A minimum of one year of experience in customer service and bartending is essential. Attention to detail, customer-centric approach, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are required.
Education: A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Bartending certification is advantageous, and TIPS or CARE beverage service certification is desired or must be obtained as required.
Physical Requirements: The ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly throughout the shift is necessary.
