Job Summary

The Cable Installation Specialist will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical cables and systems in commercial properties. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist project managers and field technicians in the installation and maintenance of electrical cables and systems
  • Read and understand blueprints and technical drawings
  • Understand the different types of cables and how they work together
  • Pull and route cables in a data center or new construction commercial environment
  • Pull various cables for power systems through ducts, walls, and ceilings
  • Trim and terminate devices
  • Identify proper routing and supporting of RF, data, and fiber cables
  • Perform pre-termination procedures, including organizing, forming, and dressing cables, and determining length, slack, and labeling cables to company standards
  • Suspend and support cable correctly using cable tray, J-hook, D-rings, bridal rings, trapeze, and miscellaneous materials
  • Attach wire to rod, cable, or fish tape and pull wire through structures
  • Keep materials, tools, and area clean and organized, and labeled
  • Communicate regularly with team members and managers according to company standards
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working with sensitive information
  • Keep accurate records by following company policies and procedures while following all applicable laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of company policies and standards, ability to ask questions when unsure of the policies and standards
  • Adaptable to learning about the company's industry
  • Document work orders according to the company's work order policy, expectations, and standards
  • Maintain positive attendance in accordance with jobs that are scheduled to be completed
  • Continue to develop goals and working toward growth and development that aligns with the company's mission and values
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assigned job tasks
  • Provide excellent customer service while establishing good working relationships with customers, vendors, and team members

Requirements
  • Minimum of High School Diploma/GED
  • Must be able to work at heights, off a ladder, and in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds, and move up to 75 pounds
  • Must be able to pass a background and driver's license (MVR) check
  • Must have a valid Arizona Driver License
  • Must have a full availability
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently
  • Professional in appearance and presentation
  • Will be exposed to inclement weather or be required to work in environments or under conditions that require the use of protective equipment and devices and/or awareness of personal safety and safety of others
  • Provide own basic hand tools per the company standards and Tool Policy
  • Must be an excellent communicator
  • OSHA 10 certification
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation that can be used on construction sites
