Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Decision Scientist to join our team at Truist Inc. This role will play a critical part in driving business optimization and impact through advanced analytic work.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing project oversight and guidance to Decision Scientists, supporting the Decision Science Director in executing against business objectives. Key tasks will include:

  • Producing advanced analytic work for recommendations to support the Consumer Payments Product portfolio with a focus on credit card, risk, and optimization analytics.
  • Providing detailed analytical insights and defining techniques for Consumer Payments, including product profitability, customer segmentation, funnel analytics, and risk analytics.
  • Developing key analysis to grow exposure profitably, including balance build programs, retention, and exposure management.
  • Optimizing card and digital payment product strategies to increase engagement.
  • Partnering with the Credit Analytics team and providing knowledge of consumer-lending best practices to support the use of advanced statistical techniques and data sources.
  • Identifying strategic opportunities, synthesizing data to craft compelling stories, and presenting recommendations to senior management.
  • Performing advanced data analytics and reporting of various credit card and digital payment products to extract value from business data.
  • Performing large-scale experimentation and building data-driven models to answer business questions.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training or experience, along with 5+ years of experience in Banking, Finance, Decision/Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Engineering. A strong background in decision science/analytics project management, with a diverse project focus and demonstrated results, is also required. Additionally, the candidate should have experience in managing multiple projects with tight deadlines in a collaborative environment to drive maximum impact.

Preferred Qualifications

5-7 Years of experience in Banking, Finance, Decision/Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Engineering, with previous experience in Cards and Consumer Payments, is preferred.
