Manual Machinist

We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team at Mid-State Industrial Maintenance. This is a full-time position that requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate lathes, horizontal and vertical boring mills, knee-mills, grinders, saws, and other machinery to machine parts of various sizes.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, including QC approval at noted hold points.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to ensure accurate machining.
• Collaborate with estimators to provide feedback on quotes and budgets.
• Assist with shop improvement activities and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of pumps, valves, gearboxes, piping, and large-scale mechanical assemblies is required.
• Dependable and capable of frequently working long hours.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

Work Environment:

• Position is located in a fast-paced industrial setting, often requiring long hours and frequent call-outs.
• Working environment is often in harsh elements (hot, humid, and/or cold temperatures, rain, etc.).
