Primary Responsibilities:
This role is primarily accountable for the oversight and strategic direction of a designated lending territory, which includes the origination, development, and nurturing of profitable business relationships. The position also involves the formulation, implementation, interpretation, and maintenance of lending policies and procedures, ensuring that all lending programs adhere to federal and state regulations as well as organizational policies.

Key Duties:


- Provide guidance and support for loan underwriting and structuring within the assigned lending region.

- Review underwriting requests to ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.

- Grant credit approvals for requests that align with established underwriting criteria and lending objectives.

- Support the organization's lending goals while ensuring asset quality is maintained.


- Mentor and guide the assigned lending team, including assisting credit analysts with complex underwriting challenges.


- Aid lending staff in determining appropriate risk ratings and managing criticized assets.

- Monitor loan exception items for the assigned regions and collaborate with the lending team to address them.

- Oversee regional credit quality issues, such as delinquency rates.

- Participate as a member of the Senior Asset Credit Committee for respective regional credits.

- Assist in the review, analysis, and integration of potential acquisition opportunities.

- Undertake additional related duties and projects as assigned.


All employees are expected to act as risk managers for their respective areas by understanding, reporting, responding to, managing, and monitoring the risks they encounter daily, as outlined by the organization's risk management program.


Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (BA or BS)

- At least 10 years of relevant experience

- Strong management capabilities

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

- Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal abilities

- Superior customer service skills

- Proficient in personal computer usage and job-related software

- Basic proficiency in MS Word

- Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel

- Basic proficiency in MS PowerPoint

- MBA is preferred

- Experience in banking, finance, or a related field

- Familiarity with banking regulatory and compliance issues is preferred
