Job Summary

Riggs Industries Inc is seeking a skilled Truck Body Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for preparing chassis to receive bodies, cutting, welding, and modifying chassis as required, installing wiring and electrical components, hydraulic system components, lift axles, plow hoists, body hoists, and hydraulic cylinders, pneumatic components, and controls. You will also perform similar tasks on trailers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Check driveshaft clearance
  • Ensure proper routing of airlines
  • Perform basic shop math calculations
  • Modify and prepare chassis as required by the work order
  • Install wiring and electrical components
  • Install pneumatic controls and components
  • Install hydraulic controls and components
  • Install plow lifts and hoists
  • Install lift axles
  • Install body hoists and hoist cylinder(s)
  • Safely perform duties, wearing required PPE
  • Observe and comply with all provisions of the ISO 9001 QMS
Requirements
  • Vocational/technical training or a high school diploma or general education degree with work experience in an industrial setting
