Cardiovascular Surgeon

OSF HealthCare is seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Surgeon to join our team at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. As a member of our Cardiovascular Institute, you will be part of a group of 40 plus Cardiologists serving the central Midwest.

We are looking for a surgeon with expertise in Aorta Dissections, who can provide exceptional care to our patients. Our Cardiovascular Service Line works in conjunction with 17 area hospitals and 9 clinics to provide comprehensive services for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of heart disease.

As a Cardiovascular Surgeon at OSF, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of experienced professionals, including Cardiologists, Anesthesiologists, and other support staff. You will be responsible for performing complex cardiovascular surgeries, including coronary artery bypass grafting, heart transplantation, and aortic dissection repair.

OSF St. Francis Medical Center is a 642-bed medical center, which is the fourth-largest medical center in Illinois and the ONLY Cardiac Center that performs cardiac transplantation and complex MCS with ECMO (ELSO Gold) outside Chicago in the state of Illinois.

We are a 3-star STS program for Iso CABG and a major teaching affiliate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. We are also a Level I Trauma Center, the highest level designated in trauma care.
