We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Trinity Health Michigan. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing direct and indirect patient care in the Operating Room.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare for scheduled operative procedures by arranging sterile setups and maintaining a sterile field throughout the case.
- Pass instruments, sponges, sutures, and other sterile supplies to surgeons and assist during procedures.
- Assist RNs with circulating duties, such as opening supplies, assisting with positioning, and preparing the operative site.
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments used during surgery and assist with dressing the operative site following closing.
- Completion of an associate degree in Surgical Technology and active certification as a Surgical Tech.
- Two years of surgical technologist experience and active certification as a surgical technologist.
