The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at CloudHQ LLC. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will collaborate with our CHQ Development and third-party engineering teams to develop mechanical system designs for data centers across the Americas. Your focus will be on cutting-edge technology and sustainability.
Responsibilities- Develop mechanical system designs for data centers, working closely with CHQ Development and third-party engineering teams.
- Collaborate with the entire CHQ team, including partners, customers, and vendors, to ensure that designs meet customer requirements and provide tailored solutions.
- Work closely with CHQ's consultants, contractors, and partners to define new projects and existing site expansions.
- Coordinate mechanical designs and specifications, support budget reviews, and construction efforts.
- Maximize efficiencies and reliability by working closely with CHQ's Operations Teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a technology-related discipline.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in design, construction, and commissioning of industrial cooling systems.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in successfully leading and managing teams, projects, or programs to determine and implement company-level strategic objectives.
- Professional experience in mechanical engineering project management.
- Strong and in-depth working knowledge and proven performance of data center design, with direct design experience and skills in data center Mechanical and Controls engineering management.
- Critical thinker and problem solver.
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and effectively.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with a team, as well as work independently applying individual expertise.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interface directly with clients.
- Willingness to travel locally, nationally, and internationally on a regular basis.
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
