Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate

Job Summary:

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate will work in our South Bay Geriatric & Internal Medicine Inc, collaborating with our affiliates, San Diego Medical Group and Padilla Family Medicine. The role involves examining and treating patients, regardless of age or sex, ensuring proper injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics, as well as excellent knowledge of infectious diseases, their symptoms, and epidemiology.

Responsibilities:
  • Examine and treat patients, regardless of age or sex
  • Ensure proper injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery
  • Prescribe and administer medications, perform routine vaccinations, and provide advice regarding personal health and hygiene
  • Request necessary tests and follow-up visits and refer patients to specialists, as necessary
Requirements:
  • National NP Board Certification in aligned specialty with the practice area
  • Current California Physician Assistant (PA) license and current PA Certification from NCCPA
  • A minimum of two (2+) or more years of relevant experience as a NP or PA
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual Spanish or other language preferred, but not required
