Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at Newfields. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing skilled maintenance on building facilities and equipment, as well as troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, including heating and cooling units, ventilation systems, and controls.
  • Assist in the installation and repair of building equipment, including HVAC units, pumps, and motors.
  • Conduct regular inspections of building systems to identify potential issues and recommend repairs or replacements.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure that all building systems are functioning properly.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repair.
  • Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in extreme temperatures.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities. The position will require the ability to work independently and as part of a team, as well as the ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials.

The physical demands of this position include standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods of time. The work environment is moderate, with occasional exposure to loud noises and hazardous materials.
