About the Role

ENGIE North America is seeking a skilled Solar Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our solar generation sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Access tasks via SCADA, Maximo, or SAP software systems and perform repairs, troubleshooting, and technical repair work orders for solar panels.
  • Manage documentation, update parts inventory, and submit on-site status reports, including daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
  • Coordinate high voltage switching activities with local utilities and independent system operators (ISO), including substation operations, equipment lockouts, and grounding.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including conducting Site-Specific Orientations, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and safety meetings.
Requirements
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in Solar generation sites, Wind generation sites, Manufacturing or Mining operations, or Controls & Industrial Maintenance.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain certification by AVO as substation technician within 12 months of hire date.
  • Capacity to be on call as deemed necessary by supervisor.
