Job Overview

Birdie's Links and Drinks is seeking an experienced Saute Cook to join our culinary team. This role involves cooking and preparing menu items as requested by customers, stocking necessary food preparation stations, and maintaining a clean working space during and after business hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stock, organize, and clean kitchen and cooking utensils regularly to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Properly store food at the correct temperatures, rotating stock, cooling, reheating, and restocking as needed.
  • Peel, wash, trim, and cook vegetables, meats, seafood, and dairy without cross-contamination, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  • Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces or serving areas, to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices are maintained.
  • Prepare all food according to company recipes, utilizing knowledge of flavors, textures, and presentation techniques.
Requirements
  • A minimum of one to three years of full-service restaurant experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues, management, and customers.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in point-of-sale systems and other relevant software.
  • Basic mathematical skills, with the ability to accurately manage cash, credit card transactions, and inventory levels.
  • Experience in food preparation and presentation, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
  • Previous training experience, with the ability to train new staff members on cooking techniques, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Multi-task oriented, with the ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety procedures, including proper use of equipment, sanitation protocols, and emergency response plans.
  • Able to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with a willingness to adapt to changing demands and priorities.
Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
