Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Class A or B CDL driver with hazmat endorsements to join our team at CK Supply. As a local delivery driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of products to our production facilities and customer locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver products to customers while adhering to load safety, DOT, and general safe driving guidelines.
  • Exhibit a professional image to customers and colleagues at all times.
  • Complete daily electronic trip reports and shipping papers.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of assigned vehicles and perform pre and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Communicate repair needs and issues to the Fleet Manager.
  • Load and unload cylinders/product supplies from the delivery vehicle.
  • Ensure all required cylinders are bar coded properly.
  • Conform to uniform and safety equipment policies.
  • Communicate with customers and relay pertinent information back to the manager.
  • Follow and enforce all safety guidelines and requirements.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current Class B CDL, Class A preferred.
  • Hazmat endorsement required (or ability to obtain).
  • Tanker endorsement preferred.
  • Good driving record as exhibited by state MVR reports.
  • Current DOT medical card and ability to pass all DOT requirements.
  • Mental adaptability and flexibility in dealing with a variety of people.
  • Ability to complete basic mathematical calculations and enter correct information on logs and other reports.
  • Vision correctable to within normal range for vehicle driving and completion of records.
  • Ability to move or lift products and materials of varied sizes and weights up to 50lbs without assistance.
  • Ability to work in diverse and often times unpleasant weather conditions.
  • Ability to drive in all types of weather conditions.
  • Ability to sit, bend, stoop, lift, climb, and stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to operate all necessary equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
  • Possession or ability to obtain a DOT medical card.
  • Ability to lift, roll, and move cylinders up to 75 pounds.
Equipment Utilized
  • Company truck and lift gate.
  • Forklift.
  • Hand cart.
  • Bar coding scanner.
  • Various hand tools.
Required Safety Equipment

All proper safety equipment must be worn according to company policies and regulations, including safety glasses, safety boots, and ear protection.
