Director of Nursing Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing department at Joseph Village of Chicago, a vibrant senior living community. As a Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operation of the nursing department to ensure high-quality resident care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement nursing care plans for residents, including rehabilitative and restorative activities, instruction in self-help, and cooperation with therapy services.
  • Supervise staff coverage to comply with Illinois State Code and ensure effective management of the nursing department.
  • Establish a methodology for assessing the nursing care needs of residents and ensuring that the nursing care component of the resident care plan is developed and implemented.
  • Assist in developing nursing care plans for individual residents and arrange for orientation of newly appointed nursing staff in facility policy and nursing procedures.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain nursing service objectives and standards of nursing practice.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • 5 years of experience in general staff nursing and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in nursing administration, either as a Director or Assistant Director.
