Job Summary

Grady Health System is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. As a critical care specialist, you will play a vital role in the direct management of acute and chronic illness in critically ill patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for critically ill patients.
  • Order, conduct, and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests to inform patient care decisions.
  • Prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments to manage patient health problems.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care for complex patient needs.
  • Develop and implement patient education plans to promote health and prevent illness.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Nursing as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Master's Degree as a Physician Assistant.
  • Two or more years of experience as a critical care nurse or two years serving as a Physician Assistant.
  • Current Georgia License as a Registered Professional Nurse (for NPs) or current Georgia Authorization/Certification as a NP Advanced Practice Registered Professional Nurse.
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician's Assistant, specializing in critical care services for in-patient settings.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
