We are seeking a skilled Sales Representative to join our team at US Foods, Inc. This role will involve building strong relationships with customers and driving sales growth through effective communication and product knowledge.

About the Role

As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for fostering customer relationships in a team-based selling model. You will manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department and troubleshoot any problems that occur during the order process.

You will communicate and collect accounts receivable as necessary, working with the credit department and client. Your goal will be to collect all balances due based on approved credit terms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster customer relationships in a team-based selling model.
  • Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department.
  • Troubleshoot any problems that occur during the order process.
  • Communicate and collect accounts receivable as necessary.

In this role, you will also leverage other resources to assist with top penetration opportunities and new accounts opening. You will develop new business by identifying prospective customers and sharing market information with existing clients.

The successful candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities. They will be able to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business.

A competitive spirit and results-driven mentality are essential for this role, along with exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will also have problem-solving ability, organization, and negotiation skills.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
  • Foodservice industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business.

The estimated salary for this role is between $55,000-$85,000 per year, depending on relevant experience and education. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement benefits, paid time off, and more.
