Position Overview

Shift Schedule: 2nd Shift Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm with potential overtime on Saturdays.

The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and ensuring the operational integrity of mechanical systems across the facility.



Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment to ascertain the root cause and appropriate solutions.
  • Collaborate with machine operators to observe and evaluate machinery performance, diagnosing issues effectively.
  • Execute repairs, replacements, adjustments, and alignments of machinery components.
  • Fabricate or refurbish parts as necessary to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Utilize welding, fabrication, or machining techniques to repair or construct equipment as required.
  • Operate various tools and machinery, including hoists, forklifts, power tools, and hand tools, while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Conduct tests on equipment to confirm proper functioning and validate repair adequacy.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections on machinery and facilities.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed safely and in compliance with established safety regulations.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by management.



Qualifications

  • Proficient in reading and understanding instructions in English.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet production demands.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and spatial awareness are essential.
  • Capability to follow established protocols and procedures diligently.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for interaction with supervisors and colleagues.
  • Job-specific skills and safe operating practices are acquired through on-the-job training and classroom instruction.
  • General guidance is provided for routine tasks, while detailed instructions are available for new assignments.
  • Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Experience Required: 0-2 years in a related field.
  • Minimal travel may be required.
