Job Summary:

As a licensed mental health professional, you will provide comprehensive mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention services to adult members. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Your expertise will be utilized to provide outpatient psychotherapy, instruct patients and their families on treatment regimens, and administer specialized therapeutic procedures as needed. You will also maintain accurate and confidential records, adhere to state and NCQA regulations, and participate in departmental program development and evaluation.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for adult members, incorporating evidence-based practices and psychotherapy research methods.
  • Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups, utilizing a range of therapeutic approaches.
  • Instruct patients and their families on treatment regimens, including medication management and adherence.
  • Administer specialized therapeutic procedures, such as crisis intervention and behavioral medicine programs.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records, adhering to state and NCQA regulations.
  • Participate in departmental program development, implementation, and evaluation, contributing to the improvement of mental health services.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination.
Basic Qualifications:
Education: Master's degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or a related field from an accredited college or university. License: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) with the Couples and Families Endorsement within 24 months of hire. National Provider Identifier required at hire.

  • Knowledge of the bio-psycho-social functions that contribute to mental health.
  • Accuracy in diagnosing patients and developing effective treatment plans.
  • Competence in individual, family, and group psychotherapy.
  • Professional maturity and ethical integrity necessary for assuming professional responsibilities.
  • Commitment to quality of service, teamwork, and participation in a highly interactive multidisciplinary clinic.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous post-licensure experience as a member of a psychiatric treatment team in an outpatient or inpatient setting.
  • Previous clinical responsibility, including crisis intervention and individual and group psychotherapy.
  • Demonstrated professional maturity and ethical integrity necessary for assuming professional responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality of service, teamwork, and participation in a highly interactive multidisciplinary clinic.
