As a vital member of our clinical team, you will assist healthcare providers and other medical personnel in gathering essential vital signs and preparing patients for examinations, treatments, and minor surgical interventions. You will be responsible for maintaining a tracking system for follow-up appointments related to patient visits, lab tests, and procedures, ensuring ongoing monitoring of patient health statuses. Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers and clinical staff in obtaining vital signs and preparing patients for examinations and treatments.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the clinical skills required for the role.
- May be tasked with drawing blood and collecting samples for laboratory analysis.
- Administer prescribed medications and vaccines.
- Maintain a tracking system for follow-up appointments and monitor patient health statuses.
- Coordinate referrals for patients to specialists and ensure completion of necessary documentation.
- Document patient interactions accurately in electronic health records.
Patient Education and Development
- Provide answers and educational support to patients and their families.
- Understand lab testing values and their implications for patient care.
- Stay informed about clinic operations and organizational updates.
- Adhere to safety and compliance guidelines.
- Maintain regular attendance and demonstrate initiative in improving service quality.

Education:
- Graduate from an accredited program for Licensed Practical Nurses or Medical Assistants.
- High school diploma required for roles involving moderately complex laboratory work.
Experience:
- Previous clinical experience in a medical setting is preferred.
- Experience with computer data entry is necessary.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Current nursing license in the State of Iowa for Licensed Practical Nurses.
- Current certification for Medical Assistants and relevant credentials.
- BLS and Mandatory Reporter certifications are required.
- Valid driver's license for work-related travel.
Skills:
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
