Job Description:

Baltimore City Community College seeks a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor in Photography to join its faculty. This is a part-time position teaching photography courses to students. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of camera functions, lighting, and composition, as well as experience using image manipulation software and darkroom equipment.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts with Photographic Arts credits or Journalism with photojournalism emphasis. A Master's degree in a related field is a plus. Additionally, the candidate should have at least one year of experience in photography or a related field. Experience teaching in an institution of higher education is also beneficial. Familiarity with Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) is preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach photography courses to students
  • Assess student engagement and understanding during class sessions
  • Collect, grade, and report assignments and homework
  • Maintain and update course materials
  • Select course materials that reflect the Master Syllabus

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per annum based on qualifications and experience. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
