Job Responsibilities

The primary role of the Respiratory Care Specialist is to assess, treat, and manage patients experiencing respiratory or cardiopulmonary issues.

  • Deliver respiratory therapy in accordance with physician directives and established protocols.
  • Engage in the formulation and/or execution of patient care strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations and accepted professional standards.
  • Foster positive relationships with patients, their families, and healthcare team members through effective communication.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on therapy methods and objectives.
  • Accurately document and maintain patient records.
Qualifications
  • Must possess a valid Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC and current CPR certification.
  • A minimum of eighteen months of experience in respiratory care is preferred, particularly in critical care environments.
